Our Leadership Council is calling on all members to join in the "Thank You, Ocean!" movement. The ocean is vital to life and touches us every day. The ocean gives so much to California: food, water, commerce, recreation, and the opportunity for quiet contemplation. Even medicines that heal us and the air we breathe come from the ocean. Yet, today the ocean is in trouble. Our ocean faces threats of pollution, marine debris, endangered populations, beach erosion, and more. You can help. By learning about the ocean, getting involved in ocean activities and voicing your opinion to lawmakers, you can join the millions of Californians who are saying,

We know that all of creation is connected as one. We envision a world that recognizes the intrinsic value of everything and where all beings are assured a safe and meaningful life in harmony with the inherent balance of nature.
As a people of faith, we commit to a renewed reverence for the interdependent web of life and pledge to care, support and defend this ecological balance, transforming our individual and commUnity lives into acts of moral witness by discarding harmful habits and adopting new behaviors that demonstrate these vows.

We declare our covenant with God to walk upon the Earth for the greatest good of all creation.
